Almonte, ON - This Writers Note: Boys, as time goes on, responsibilities add up and over the off season that's exactly what happened. This writer had a baby over the off season (Well he didn't have a baby but he was close by) which means that he won't have the time dedicated to misspelling compelling story lines throughout the season. So in large part he will be helped by AI unless the story is to good, in which case he'll take over. Sorry in advance for these much better storylines. Most of these stories will not be as the game happened as AI has to guess, so basically the format will stay the exact same.
Loop 3 OUTLOOK
Brian Metcalfe Landscaping Battles Through Adversity in Fourth Loop
Brian Metcalfe Landscaping hit a tough stretch during the fourth loop of the season, finishing 0-3-1 in a demanding round where every opponent was faced once in two-period battles. The loop opened with a narrow 4–3 loss to ProFoam Insulation Inc., a game that was tighter than the scoreboard might suggest. Brian Metcalfe Landscaping traded chances throughout, but couldn’t find the equalizer late despite pushing the pace.
The middle portion of the loop proved challenging as well. A 3–1 loss to Valley Plumbing followed, where Brian Metcalfe Landscaping struggled to generate sustained offense against a structured defensive effort. That was followed by a 5–2 defeat at the hands of Ryno Motors, a game where the score stretched late, masking what was a competitive effort through much of the two-period contest.
The loop closed on a far more positive note with a hard-fought 4–4 tie against league-leading Bruce’s Car Care. In a back-and-forth game filled with momentum swings, Brian Metcalfe Landscaping showed resilience, answering goals and refusing to let the top team in the standings pull away. It was a performance that served as a reminder of this group’s depth and competitiveness.
Despite the winless loop, Brian Metcalfe Landscaping remains very much in the mix. Through four loops, their record sits at 5-6-5, placing them in a three-way tie for second place in the league. With three loops still to play, a rebound in the results column could quickly shift the standings as the season heads into its final stretch.
Bruce’s Car Care Stays on Top After Gritty Fourth Loop
Bruce’s Car Care wrapped up the fourth loop of the season with a 1-1-2 record, navigating another demanding stretch where each of the league’s five teams crossed paths once again. The loop opened with a rare stumble, as Valley Plumbing handed Bruce’s a 4–1 loss in a two-period contest that never fully tilted in their favor. Despite flashes of their usual pace and structure, Bruce’s couldn’t generate enough sustained pressure to climb back into it, marking just their second regulation loss of the season.
The response was exactly what you’d expect from a first-place club. In game two, Bruce’s Car Care rebounded with a confident 5–3 win over Ryno Motors, leaning on balanced scoring and a steady defensive effort to control long stretches of play. It was the kind of bounce-back performance that has defined their season—no panic, just execution.
The final two games of the loop showcased Bruce’s ability to grind out results even when wins aren’t there. A tightly contested 1–1 draw against ProFoam Insulation Inc. turned into a defensive chess match, while a wild 4–4 tie versus Brian Metcalfe Landscaping featured momentum swings and timely goals at both ends. Bruce’s showed composure late in both games to secure points and close the loop on a positive note.
After four of the seven loops are in the books, Bruce’s Car Care sits atop the standings with an impressive 11-2-3 record. Consistency remains the calling card, and even in a loop without a dominant win total, the ability to collect points keeps them firmly in first place as the season moves into its back half.
Ryno Motors Roars Through Fourth Loop with Statement 3–1 Record
Ryno Motors delivered one of their strongest stretches of the season during the fourth loop, posting a 3-1-0 record while facing each of the league’s four opponents in the familiar two-period format. The loop opened with an impressive 4–2 win over ProFoam Insulation Inc., where Ryno set the pace early and managed the game well from the front. It was a confident start that immediately put them on solid footing.
That momentum carried into the second matchup, a tightly contested 3–2 victory over Valley Plumbing. Ryno Motors showed composure in a back-and-forth game, answering challenges and holding firm late to secure another one-goal win. Those kinds of results have been hard-earned this season, and this one underscored their ability to close out close games.
The lone setback of the loop came against Bruce’s Car Care in a 5–3 loss. Despite generating offense and staying within reach, Ryno couldn’t fully stem the tide against the league leaders. Still, the response was immediate and emphatic, as Ryno closed the loop with a convincing 5–2 win over Brian Metcalfe Landscaping, finishing the stretch on a high note.
Through four loops, Ryno Motors now sits at 6-7-3 on the season and finds itself in a three-way tie for second place in the standings. With confidence building after a winning loop and several teams bunched tightly together, Ryno Motors has positioned itself well heading into the back half of the season.
ProFoam Insulation Inc. Shows Progress in Productive Fourth Loop
ProFoam Insulation Inc. put together one of their more encouraging stretches of the season during the fourth loop, finishing 2-1-1 while facing each of the other four teams in the league’s two-period format. The loop opened with a 4–2 loss to Ryno Motors, a game where ProFoam stayed competitive but couldn’t swing momentum back after falling behind. Despite the result, the effort level set the tone for what would follow.
That response showed in game two, as ProFoam edged Brian Metcalfe Landscaping 4–3 in a hard-fought contest. Timely scoring and improved puck movement helped ProFoam protect a narrow lead down the stretch, earning a much-needed win. The momentum carried into a defensive-minded matchup against Bruce’s Car Care, where ProFoam battled the league leaders to a 1–1 tie in a tightly checked game.
The loop closed on a high note with a 3–2 win over Valley Plumbing, sealing a positive finish and a valuable set of points. ProFoam showed poise late, managing the final minutes of the second period to hold off a late push and secure the victory.
Through four loops, ProFoam Insulation Inc.’s record sits at 4-10-2, leaving them in last place in the standings. Still, the 2-1-1 performance in the fourth loop offers signs of progress, and if that level of compete carries forward, ProFoam could begin closing the gap as the season moves ahead.
Valley Plumbing Splits Fourth Loop, Stays in the Hunt
Valley Plumbing put together a balanced fourth loop, finishing 2-2-0 as they squared off once against each of the other four teams in the league’s two-period format. The loop opened on a high note with a convincing 4–1 win over Bruce’s Car Care, where Valley set the tone early and never looked back. It was a statement performance against one of the league’s top teams and showed Valley’s ability to dictate play when their game plan clicks.
Momentum didn’t fully carry into the second matchup, as Valley dropped a tight 3–2 decision to Ryno Motors. It was a back-and-forth contest that came down to small details, with Valley staying within a goal throughout but unable to find the equalizer before time ran out. The response, however, was immediate and effective.
In game three, Valley Plumbing rebounded with a solid 3–1 win over Brian Metcalfe Landscaping, leaning on structure and timely scoring to control the flow of the game. The loop wrapped up with another one-goal contest, this time a 3–2 loss to ProFoam Insulation Inc., capping a stretch where Valley was competitive in every outing but split the results evenly.
After four loops, Valley Plumbing’s record sits at 7-8-1, placing them in a three-way tie for second place in the standings. With consistency building and games routinely coming down to the final minutes of the second period, Valley remains firmly in the playoff picture as the season heads into its second half.
